Simplify CDP Reporting With CNaught's Downloadable Compliance Report
Reporting to CDP can be one of the most detailed and resource-intensive parts of a sustainability program, requiring companies to disclose their carbon credit purchases with in-depth information about each project they’ve retired (or “canceled”).
With the CDP deadline approaching, we’ve made the process easier with a downloadable CDP Compliance Report, available directly in your CNaught dashboard.
This report gives you everything you need to confidently complete section 7.79.1 (Carbon credits retired in the reporting year), without the extra digging.
Where carbon credits show up in your CDP score
In CDP's updated scoring methodology, it scores your answer at all four levels:
- Disclosure: Did you fill it out completely?
Worth up to 4 points, awarded in proportion to how many rows you complete. Half-finished rows get partial credit. - Awareness: Do you know the quality of what you bought?
3 disclosure categories, worth 0.25 points each: how the crediting program tested whether the project was additional, what it requires the project to do about reversal risk, and what sources of leakage it made the project assess. - Management: Can you report the vintage?
Worth 1 point to report the vintage of the credits you retired. - Leadership: Where did the credits come from?
Worth 1 point if CDP recognizes the issuing program: ACR, Climate Action Reserve, Gold Standard, Verra/VCS, TREES, Equitable Earth, Isometric, Global Carbon Council, Puro.earth, or Riverse.
